Kapālama

Dedicated to Hawaiian Culture-Based Education, KULA HAWAIʻI is a day dedicated to the professional growth and learning of our Kapālama faculty and educational support staff.  Aligned with Kaleilamakū 2025, Kula Hawaiʻi sessions will deliver quality Hawaiian Culture-Based Education professional development opportunities that will deepen your knowledge of HCBE pedagogy. This yearʻs theme:

ʻO ke kumu lama, he kumu paʻa ia.

The lama is a hard wood tree.

The enlightened kumu is a kumu with a firm foundation.

Rooted in the kāhea to fulfil our Kapālama mission and vision participants will be able to build on the HCBE work they are doing through E Ola! PLCs. This important work all adds to the creation of a strong foundation for haumāna as an E Ola! Graduate.  As we continually expand our knowledge of  E Ola! and Hawaiian Culture-Based Education we all collectively contribute to the progress and strengthening of the E Ola! Graduate.
