Where can I send my supplemental documents (e.g. report cards, birth certificates, tax returns, and other supporting documents)?
Your documents can be mailed to the Applicant Services Center at 567 S. King St., Suite 102 Honolulu, HI 96813. OR you can hand-deliver them to your nearest KS Resource Center.
How can my keiki apply to the Kipona scholarship program?
The Kipona program shares the same admissions process as KS campus admissions. After the admissions process, your application moves to Financial Aid and Scholarships. You will be notified of your application status by email provided by Financial Aid and Scholarships. Award notifications will be made in April.
What is the process for current Pauahi Keiki Scholar recipients applying for the Kipona scholarship program?
Pauahi Keiki Scholars (PKS) is for preschool, while the Kipona scholarship program is for grades K-12 with entry points at grades K, 4, 7, and 9. Award of PKS scholarship does not guarantee award of a Kipona scholarship. To apply for the Kipona scholarship program, you must complete a KS admissions packet available at your nearest Resource Center or online here.
Do I need to complete two applications if I want to apply for KS campuses and Kipona scholarship program?
The Kipona and KS campus admissions share the same application. You do not need to complete two separate applications. Simply check the applicable boxes for KS campuses and the Kipona scholarship program in your application.
If I am a current Kipona awardee, do I need to reapply for next year through the KS admissions process?
You do not need to reapply for the Kipona scholarship program. You will receive a notification from Financial Aid and Scholarships for next year’s award.
How can I submit my community service hours for the PKS and Kipona scholarships?
To submit your community service hours, you must register online with the Hoʻoulu Kaiāulu Parent Portal. Once you register, you must complete an online orientation. The orientation takes approximately 15 minutes and you are not able to save your progress. After registering and completing the orientation, you will be able to submit your community service hours for the PKS and Kipona scholarships.
