The kaikaina (younger sibling) options are designed for our younger learners and the kua\u02bbana (older sibling) options are designed for our older learners.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00b300; font-family: 'Montserrat'; font-style: bold; font-size: 20px;\">Do we have to turn something in?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-bottom: 1em;\"><strong>No, this is optional<\/strong>. Papa Hoakalei is a resource provided to our KS \u2018ohana to encourage \u02bbohana engagement and to continue learning over the summer. The activities are designed to be fun and engaging. If you find yourself stressed out about it, revise the activity to fit your \u2018ohana\u02bbs schedule or select another activity. Haum\u0101na can complete a reflection after finishing their project.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00b300; font-family: 'Montserrat'; font-style: bold; font-size: 20px;\">Can my other keiki get involved?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-bottom: 1em;\"><strong>YES!<\/strong> \u2018Ohana participation is encouraged. If you live with k\u016bpuna, get them involved too!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00b300; font-family: 'Montserrat'; font-style: bold; font-size: 20px;\">How long should each activity take?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-bottom: 1em;\"><strong>That is up to you!<\/strong> If your child shows great interest in a particular project, he\/she can continue to extend the project. Curiosity and innovation is encouraged!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00b300; font-family: 'Montserrat'; font-style: bold; font-size: 20px;\">What if my keiki does not have online access?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-bottom: 1em;\">There is a variety of both online and offline activities.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00b300; font-family: 'Montserrat'; font-style: bold; font-size: 20px;\">Do we have to do every activity?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-bottom: 1em;\"><strong>No. You and your keiki can choose an activity that interests you.<\/strong> If you have multiple children, perhaps you might select a topic as a family and encourage your older keiki to help the younger ones.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00b300; font-family: 'Montserrat'; font-style: bold; font-size: 20px;\">My child is in the second grade, can he do the kua\u02bbana activities?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-bottom: 1em;\"><strong>Yes, of course!<\/strong> For families with multiple children, you might select a kua\u02bbana activity and have your keiki work together!<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00b300; font-family: 'Montserrat'; font-style: bold; font-size: 20px;\">Can we see what other families are doing?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-bottom: 1em;\"><!--HIDE We will be posting some of the projects in our gallery.
