Kamehameha Schools Career Pathways Unit

Internship Programs

Established in 2009, the Kamehameha Schools Kāpili ʻOihana Internship Program (KOIP) is designed to cultivate and maintain relationships with employers statewide who are committed to providing college students with enriched opportunities to build their professional network, develop transferable skills, and create solutions to real-world challenges. KOIP exposes students to cultural experiences that contribute to the development of future leaders who recognize and embody the foundational values of our kūpuna in their communities and workplace.

The Summer 2019 launch of IMUA Xchange (IX), an online platform that connects learners and employers to engage in career connected learning experiences, will create an expanded community space for employers to provide students with a wide selection of career-connected learning opportunities that include KOIP internships, job shadows, career presentations, mentorships, and employment.
