Kamehameha Schools Maui is excited to present Hālau ʻo Kapikohānaiāmālama Summer 2018. Translated as the life source that feeds and nourishes, Hālau ʻo Kapikohānaiāmālama focuses on empowering and nurturing learners through rigorous and relevant experiences that are ʻāina based, ʻŌiwi STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) focused and culturally connected. These experiences allow learners to grow and expand skills they will need as lāhui contributors in the 21st century.
Hālau ʻo Kapikohānaiāmālama is a four week learning experience where students are engaged in exciting, hands-on design thinking and relevant project based learning. Haumana will visit ʻāina based sites, learn from community experts and deepen their knowledge of our island home. This program offers unique and worthwhile educational opportunities that cultivate a student’s desire to learn and be prepared for success in the new school year.
Kamehameha Schools’ policy on admission is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian ancestry to the extent permitted by law.
