Kilohana is an `Ōiwi STEAM program designed to develop Hawaiian cultural identity, knowledge and skills in STEAM, math proficiency, and college/career readiness for our haumāna. A 6-week summer day program commences a year-long range of sustained and diverse programming (i.e. STEAM challenges, huaka`i, intersession, `ohana activities) throughout the school year. Must meet the following age requirements to apply:
ATTENTION: If your child is currently enrolled in a Kamehameha Schools Preschool 3-year old class, you do not need to re-apply for the 4-year old class.
- 3 Year Old Class: Keiki born between August 1, 2013 and July 31, 2014
- 4 Year Old Class: Keiki born between August 1, 2012 and July 31, 2013
Late applications may be submitted, however, late applicants will not be considered for admission unless all “on-time” applicants in the initial lottery are offered admission and spaces are still available.
If all applicants included in the initial lottery are selected, late applicants will be considered to fill any additional vacancies according to the date their application was received by Admissions.

Kamehameha Schools partially subsidizes the educational costs (tuition, fees, and meals) for eligible students attending its 30 preschool sites to make education more affordable for families. Awards are need-based and families must reapply each year.
